Out #441

I would not want to live in a world without Alizarin. I forgot my Alizarin today and it was like learning how to paint all over again. From now on, I'm keeping a tupperware container in the back of my car with extra paint. I think. Unless anyone knows about hot temperatures and a reason I should not do this. I also misplaced my blank panel, I thought I accidentally mailed it at the post office on my way to paint. And then, I realized, I had already put in on my easel. Oh, how we laughed (with me? at me?).

  1. Sounds like it was "one of those days" but the end result turned out great!

  2. I see nothing lacking in this painting dispite being without alizarin. Sometimes it's a good thing to work out of our comfort zone.

  3. Hi, Lisa. I enjoyed looking through your blog. I really like the abstract quality of the work. The pallet and simplified forms of this piece remind me of Cezanne. And I didn't miss the Alizarin at all (though I wouldn't voluntarily venture out without it, either). Very nice.

  4. I know a woman who changed her name to Alizarin. For similar reasons, I'm sure.

    Nice compensating!
