1330 Skating

sold still life, acrylic, 6" x 6" Other News: Below are my little kitchen sink paintings (click to enlarge) - I had mentioned the other day that a mentor told me not to look too far for inspiration and this is that kind of thinking. I can't remember if I posted them or not before. I used photos to paint these because they are oil and I didn't want to paint in oil in the kitchen. This is also the spot where I paint my daily painting - there's my coffee mug on the left.  These are going  to South Street Gallery tomorrow in Hingham along with some other paintings. ( 4" x 4", oil on self hanging panels)

1328 sidestep

sold In the midst of all my radio show glee I almost forgot to share - my (er, um Brie's) Oddment has been realized, number 308 exists! Artist, Duane Keiser is creating 1000 small paintings called Oddments - which he defines as, "An oddment is 'a remnant or part of something, typically leftover from a larger piece.' It can also mean something odd or unusual." And although it's not a dog biscuit, we are delighted it's not a bug. . . I'll post a photo when it arrives. . . still life, acrylic, 6"x 6"

1326 Soundproof

sold The interview with Leslie and Carrie was loads of fun, thank you to everyone who listened and to those who might still. And to my relief the closet is soundproof - when I stated (exclaimed) 'there's the dog'  that was the exact moment that I was dashing to the closet - because someone was winding up for number one of four barking fits in the hour I was on the phone and then, you guessed it, that someone has been silent ever since.

So, if you didn't get a chance to hear the show live, you can listen here - http://artistshelpingartistsblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-conversation-with-lisa-daria-kennedy.html

And I'd be happy to answer any follow up questions, oh, and I wasn't kidding about that list of eighty artists. . . I didn't even get to number twenty.  still life, acrylic, 6" x 6"

1325 A sort of saucy sea saw she.

sold The closet is nice and tidy now if I need to retreat from a barking someone during my interview with Leslie tomorrow. I've also exhausted all vocal warm-up tongue twisters (see title), the phone is charged and I have a list prepared of 80 favorite artists, (I narrowed it down) - The show is at noon EST - click here to listen - if you can't listen at noon, it will be available afterwards to listen to whenever you like. still flowers, 6" x 6"
