A++ #474

I'm all yours Carol Marine - I'm ready. Okay, sure, I'm not bringing oils, but other than that I'm a good student. I took her workshop over a year ago and I learned a lot. But as far as oil paint is concerned, I learned, I didn't like it. Mind you, I love when other people do it, but for now it just doesn't work for me. I want flexibility, I want fast dry time, I want exactly the opposite of what oil paint gives me.

On that note, I do not know if I'll be posting tomorrow due to computer logistics. I thought of posting something in advance, but that's not in the spirit of this blog. So, I'll try my best, but rest assured I'll be painting and I'll post again Monday night.

  1. Gorgeous. I thought it was oil, but I'm in your camp -- acrylic all the way. The only thing I notice is that the pigments are more intense (something I like)in oil. Beautiful painting.

    Take care,

  2. Hi Lisa,

    I have been enjoying your blog for awhile now. Have fun at the workshop. I'm sure it will be fabulous and I can't wait to see what you do!

  3. Hello Lisa!
    Another gem!
    Love the "red" in the foreground! A real "wow" factor! Enjoy the workshop.

  4. Hi Lisa - I worked with you and Geri Duncombe at Perrone Group last year. I just went to Carole's workshop in Warren, RI. (I remember when you went last Fall to a workshop, but had no idea it was Carole's when you went.) I know that you will have a great time. Hooray for you passing the one year daily painting mark. I am just beginning on daily painting.

  5. Hi Lisa, I just completed Carol's workshop in Rhode Island and it was absolutely fantastic. I was the only one NOT using oils, I paint in acrylics but never fear, Carol is also very knowledgeable in how acrylics work as well, so you'll be just fine!
