#781 hydrangea and yellow things

It's been decided. I'm going to try figure drawing (painting) this week from a model. Be afraid, totally not my forté, but I'm looking forward to something new.

Other News: Brie and I saw a deer at the park today. Rather, I saw the deer, Brie flirted with the other person stopped in the path to watch the deer, my animal did not even see it.

  1. Love hydrangeas and your painting here with the "yellow things" is wonderful! Really like the way you painted the glass and stems in it:)
Your stories about Brie crack me up! Too funny:)

  2. Dear Lisa,

I can taste these paintings, The light. The color. The simplicity that says it all. Thank you. They restore me.

PS. My office assistants, Millie and Gus, send their hellos to Brie.

  3. I can be silent no longer! Your flower s in glass paintings are so happy and delightful, they really cheer me up.

  4. Great painting Lisa!
Enjoy your drawing class. I very much enjoyed my drawing and painting from models in the past at the MFA!
    art buddy michael's paintings

  5. So no Deerhound in Brie then lol...lovely painting :)

  6. Hi Lisa, love the blue and yellow, the vase is great. I am always in awe of your beautiful compositions and brushwork. Have a great time drawing the model, will look forward to seeing the results.

  7. Beautiful composition and color harmony are as perfect as your Brie stories!

  8. The shadows and light in this painting are awesome!

  9. This stopped me in my tracks in the sea of blog thumbnails. It is an absolute jewel.
