Not a daily painting

Just a little glimpse into some extra behind the scenes stuff . . . this is 20" x 20" and has lots of layers and glazing and thick to thin paint. I'm playing around here with technique too. This takes a pretty long time to make, but it's what I'm doing when I'm not painting directly from observation. p.s. it's not finished yet. . . I'm thinking of starting another blog, of paintings that are happening beyond the viewfinder - what do you think?

  2. I love all the textures and layers here. I'd love to see your other paintings, too. But I don't mind if you just post them here.

  3. Me, too! I'm interested in any of your paintings, and watching your process is extra candy. I agree, however, that you don't have to start another blog, unless it'll help you keep organized. So, what does Brie think?

  4. It's great to have different kinds of projects. Not all paintings can be resolved daily. Some need more time and attention to evolve stylistically. I really enjoy all your paintings. Thanks for sharing.

  5. This 20x20 is looking great and I would like to see more but it would be kind of nice to have them on the same blog, unless it's easier for you to start a new blog for other paintings.I love what you are doing and hope you'll show us this one again when you are ready to.

  9. LOVE it Lisa - and when I do 'other' work in the studio I post it on my 'studio' blog - that way my Daily Painting Blog just (Mostly) has Daily Paintings on it. Look forward to all your extra curriculars....

  10. I love it.

I think it's hard to keep up with more than one blog and I wonder if you'll get the traffic you'd like.
    Yeah, what does Brie think?
