We're ready. The deck furniture is now in the living room for the duration of the storm - very chic. Other news: I attended a panel discussion today at the ICA. "New Voices/New Visions" featured four Boston curators - Al Miner from the MFA, Trevor Smith from the Peabody Essex Museum, Paul C. Ha the Director of the MIT List Visual Arts Center and Jenelle Porter of the ICA. Porter remarked on the lack of an alternative art scene in Boston. She went on to describe the active, artist run alternative art scene in Philadelphia and commented that these venues can act as 'feeders' for curators in contemporary art. (I quickly gathered that the small pile of paintings temporarily housed in the trunk of my car is not quite the alternative art space they were talking about.) still - like the calm before the storm - life, acrylic, 5" x 7" $100 click here to purchase
