1363 Rotate

In this morning's painting class we painted from photos - upside down. . . I paint this way often (that explains a lot, you are probably thinking!) - but mostly if I am using a photo for reference, I turn the painting and photo upside down and paint that way until about the last 25% (whatever that means). And always on the bigger canvases - I take them off the wall, put them on the floor, turn them upside down and then sideways. . . and sometimes I sneak up on them (shhh). . . still painting, 4" x 4" $60 click here to purchase

  1. Very nice!
I often turn my paintings upside down too, but not at the beginning.

  2. I will often paint a canvas, and then turn it backwards to the wall (which is what it deserves). I try to sneak up on it, but it runs away without me!

Beautiful colors in this painting, btw.
