1171 Iris

sold I really wanted to paint the flowers that are living with these irises. They are from Peru and look like large orange fluffy orbs. I am not explaining them well,  because they are curious creatures and I'm still getting to know them. still life, acrylic, 4" x 8"

1169 No White

sold I forgot to bring white paint to figure drawing tonight which made for some pretty interesting flesh tones. And just last night I had looked at a photograph of an installation by artist, Ignasi AballĂ, titled, "Waste." The work consists of about 20 or so opened, unused cans of - you guessed it - white paint. . . still life, acrylic, 6" x 6"

1168 Habits

I am still practicing my new habit of doing thumbnails for my daily paintings. As a result, I noticed the light on the right side in the background. I'm not sure if I would have honed in on this if I hadn't slowed down and taken a closer look while doing the thumbnails. still life, acrylic, 6" x 6" $100 click here to purchase
