Tablecloth #543

Sooo, what attracted me to this scene to a. photograph and then b. paint it?

Why the flower patterned tablecloth, of course - which I COMPLETELY omitted from the painting.

Other News: Computer calamity over and I have not lost anything in the last 24 hours that I'm aware of.

More News Still: Saturday is the Holiday Boutique in Hingham from 10-4, 172 Main Street - I have some new paintings on display there.

  5. Beautiful painting, love the lost edges, the sunlight, everything about this. It looks like a cozy little spot that everyone would like to have in their home. The pattern would have distracted. Beautifully edited.

  7. Delightful atmosphere~! Your style - direct, simple but not simplistic and with attention to color temperature changes - it's very unique an appealing! I have been following you for about a year now and it seems to be that your work has matured significantly!

  9. Fabulous piece, Lisa. Reminds me a bit of Connie Hayes (which I mean as a big compliment). Don't know if you know her work, but I think you would appreciate it. Have a great weekend.
