Cha Cha Cha #589

I also brought home a lot of fruit from the store - If I were a dancing banana, I could wear it on my head, I've got that much fruit.

And two itty bitty looks at part of the figure painting I was playing w/yesterday, I like the car and the girl. . they were part of a bigger composition (still are) but I will not reveal it. . . it's got it's issues at the moment.

  1. Love the movement in this one. Looks like they're all spinning on the counter top. Also the color is rich and beautiful. I look forward to seeing the figure painting when the issues get resolved.

  2. Lisa,
Love the bright red of your cha cha peppers! They really pop on the blue and with that tiny bit of green. Just wonderful.
We were teasing with you yesterday- did not mean to make you feel bad at all. I think just interested in seeing how you would portray figuratives- huge fan here:) Take care.

Figure is looking good! Lucky for me I keep a magnifying glass close.

  6. Beautiful color combinations here from the blue and red to the unexpected orange and green in the bowl.

  7. You really captured the translucent quality of the peppers, and I love the touch of green on the bowl. Beautiful!

I still remember your painting of the two young boys, so I have high hopes for your new figurative endeavors. And I hope the Karin Jurick workshop works out for you; I think that sounds awesome! :)

  8. If you were a dancing banana AND you could paint figures as well as you paint fruit, well, you'd be Carmen Mirembrandt. Heh.

Sorry--I've been telling bad jokes all day.
