Both Ends #645

I painted at 4:45 a.m. today because I knew I had an action packed day ahead of me. . . I stayed out late so I could see the the film, Library of the Early Mind if you get the chance to see it, I highly recommend it!

  1. LOVE your style Lisa!! Beautiful painting! I admire your work ethic too. I've got to do an early morning painting tomorrow, but not 4:45a.m. Yikes!

  2. Beautiful painting! Is your dog a wheaton Terrier? I have a wheaton named Sparky who looks just like your dog!

  7. Thank you! I didn't even get tired until 9:30 that night! I love getting up early now, I wasn't always a morning glory (?) though! The movie was really great, beyond my expectations!

  8. An observation:
I just noticed your underpainting. There isn't one. You slapped the paint right on the panel. Because you're so fluent with paint, you do these like some people jot down quick notes. Some people can't even write their names before dawn.

  9. SamArtDog, yes that is true, I did! Sometimes, lately, I don't under paint - I have been noting the panels are a nice neutral - and I've been enjoying painting right on the surface, kind of looking and considering surface texture a bit more. BUT I do love toning in red still - it's my underpainting color of choice because it's the color of energy, luck and happiness!

Oh, by the way, speaking of writing one's name, you should see my handwriting - eeeeeeek!
