1326 Soundproof

sold The interview with Leslie and Carrie was loads of fun, thank you to everyone who listened and to those who might still. And to my relief the closet is soundproof - when I stated (exclaimed) 'there's the dog'  that was the exact moment that I was dashing to the closet - because someone was winding up for number one of four barking fits in the hour I was on the phone and then, you guessed it, that someone has been silent ever since.

So, if you didn't get a chance to hear the show live, you can listen here - http://artistshelpingartistsblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-conversation-with-lisa-daria-kennedy.html

And I'd be happy to answer any follow up questions, oh, and I wasn't kidding about that list of eighty artists. . . I didn't even get to number twenty.  still life, acrylic, 6" x 6"

  1. Great interview, Lisa. It was such a delight to gain greater insight into the wonderful world of Lisa Daria. You're amazing. Am now itching to get my hands on some more of these gorgeous blooms captured by your mind's eye. (And maybe some pinot noir and romesco...). xo

  3. Lisa, I enjoyed listening to your interview yesterday. Like you, I also prefer to get up early and paint before everything else takes over the day. I'm sure you have inspired many to make time for the important stuff..and I love that you paint next to the coffee pot! : )

  4. Great interview. This morning while drinking my coffee, I was thinking Lisa has her painting finished by now.

Getting up at 5 AM I can only guess that you must go to bed around 9 PM. Weekends too?

    Wow, we'll done. You rock.

  5. Great interview and one of the more inspiring! Your morning schedule is so 'me' and it had never occurred to me! Duh

Today first day, loved it but my art needs work. ha

Can you forgive me if I ask, do you shower before or after the coffee/art? I have a nine month old herding dog that feels she needs to be a part of ALL of my day and the simplest things have proven hard for me to organize. Yes, I too am easily distracted. So is my pup (???)

I know i can do it 'your' way!!! Can't thank you enough for this simple suggestion.

  6. Thank you everyone - I kind of like to think of it as, how much can I do before 8am? I do not shower before painting/coffee - ooooh - dare I state that as another bad work habit?!!! Brie, the dog, sleeps in until eight - she stays in bed until then (lazy).

  10. I just listened to the interview today I was going in to work. Great interview- I could hear your love of painting and passion for art in your voice. I'm still curious about the other artists in your list of eighly. Any way you could be persuaded
to include one of them in your next eighty blog posts?

    Thanks

  11. Joan - thank you so much for asking - I would absolutely love to share all my favorites - I was hoping someone would ask - and I love that, how about one a day for the next 80 days, I could put a link, like a scavenger hunt!
