#554 Over the Edge 16x16

So, per some suggestions, I took the little one from the other day and painted bigger from it - I think I want a bigger brush. This painting is 16" x 16" - it was fun. Fun enough to start another one this size of a flower still life.

16x16", acrylic on maple panel, email me if interested in purchasing lisa@thebigcvisualjournal.com

Lighthouse #551

SOLD
What an arresting title - no? This painting is from one of my father's photos - Maybe I should help myself to his title too?!

Other News: White Magdelena, 60 South Street in Hingham Square will now also be open on Sundays until Christmas from 12-4 - I brought a whole bunch of paintings down this week including some framed (new type of frames) mini- sheep.

Appetizer #549

I ate these later with brie (the cheese, not to be confused as - 'with brie' - the dog as a dining companion - although she did have a slice and did not bark at it) baked with brown sugar - delicious!

Santa Paws #548

SOLD (don't tell Brie, she'll insist on a cut)

Suddenly, you're thinking, the dog waging war against apple slices is making a little more sense.

And I'm not sure why I thought this would be an easy photo to take - two 'photo shoots', half a bag of peanut butter treats, a little canine caviar and still her brow is furrowed. I Frankensteined four photos together to get good reference.

Happy Holidays!

PP #547

Thank you for the excellent comments and feedback - it might be the time of year 'talking', but I'm delighted to receive your ideas and thoughts. . . and I just wanted you to know.

Other News: Brie, the dog, has a new enemy. Sliced apples. I slice an apple and I give her a wedge and she swats it and then barks at it. This goes on until I break it up, in case you were wondering, which you probably weren't.

On the Edge #546

SOLD
Beyond this is water. Lots and lots of water. I think I'll try this again, not as much lawn, move the building down, make it bigger, a little nip and tuck, if you will.

Willing #545

Although 'crisp' today - it was still a two walk kind of day which was interrupted only by a nice long drive along the water, camera and dog in tow.

Green Chair #544

This is an itty bitty 4"x4" painting - the original photo has four Victorian chairs in it, a settee and a fainting couch (I think) - I honed in on just this chair.

Click here to purchase, 4x4", acrylic, $60

Tablecloth #543

Sooo, what attracted me to this scene to a. photograph and then b. paint it?

Why the flower patterned tablecloth, of course - which I COMPLETELY omitted from the painting.

Other News: Computer calamity over and I have not lost anything in the last 24 hours that I'm aware of.

More News Still: Saturday is the Holiday Boutique in Hingham from 10-4, 172 Main Street - I have some new paintings on display there.

Bo Peep #542

I'm kind of like Bo Peep, except I've lost my a piece of my computer - don't ask, I beg of you, but if I find it in the fridge, like I recently found the elusive phone (only after hitting the locater ringer - hmmm, why's it so muffled? Is it under the dishtowel? No. In the basement? No. Oh, right, it's in the fridge, placed perfectly on the top shelf, like a dairy product.) then I might need a more qualified assistant than Brie, the dog.

Saturday is the Hingham Boutique! 10-4, 172 Main Street, Hingham.

Courage #541

If a daisy dare be brave enough to bloom in November, it deserves to be painted.

In a mustard jar.

Here's a little look below.

Back to Basics #540

(I still painted sheep today - just in case you were wondering).
Do I need pink paint? I wonder?
