Petite Plums #465

SOLD
Back to my petite paintings (6x6") - what better way to feature these itty bitty plums.

Okay, I thought I'd have nothing exciting to post today, but lo and behold, I have two things.

First thing: I also painted an eight by eight today AND started on a REALLY big one - 2x3 feet - that one is on canvas, so let's just say, I'm having my canvas battle because I really like masonite, but there was this really nice canvas in the basement with a really bad tree attempt I did once and I figured, why not.

The other thing: There are TWO last minute openings for the Carol Marine workshop taking place in Rhode Island, Sept 8-10 - contact Kelley Macdonald if you are interested: http://kelleymacdonalddailypaint.blogspot.com/ -

If you've never taken a Carol Marine workshop, I can't express how great it is and this one is taking place in one my favorite areas and rumor has it there are FANTASTIC people taking (and hosting) this workshop.

New Fabric #439

A bag of new fabric, a glowing pot and a pesky hydrangea. I also painted outside at White Magdelena today. While I was painting one scene, I looked behind me and saw exactly what I'll paint next weekend. . . !

Pie #435

I would like to congratulate some of the daily painters on the DPO site for their endless willpower while painting donuts. I would not, could not, paint a donut. I would eat it.

Let's face it, I might never paint a cupcake either.

Really, who would I be kidding, I'd go to the bakery, buy three cupcakes (because odd numbers are very pleasing) get home, set up said three delicious cupcakes and, because odd numbers are pleasing, as previously mentioned, promptly eat two. Ah, ha, odd number ONE! Ooops, only one now left, looking lonely? I am a humane cupcake owner, I would eat that one too, put it out of it's misery.

And probably all before breakfast. I love frosting that much. I would love to paint baked goods, but I know better.

The Little One & The Other One #427 & 427.5

SOLD
I did two paintings today, The Little One, above is 6x6" and The Other One, below is 12x12" -

Other News: Brie is sulking. I took her on and errand to the bank, and even though she sat very, very still, like a seemingly well mannered dog, she did not earn a treat - I usually have a spare in my pocket for such emergencies, life is too short for needless disappointment, but I forgot.

Below, 12x12" available at White Magdelena, 781-749-0048

Daisies Take Two Daily Painting #293

I know what you're thinking - this looks just like the painting I did yesterday - Well, yesterday, you see, I cut off the top of the daisies in my painting and I thought, huh, now what would it look like if I contained the subject w/in the frame of the canvas? Yesterday, I thought cutting off something would make it look like it extends beyond the canvas, offering an imaginary bounty, continuing forever, but today, I thought, maybe things should be contained in the frame?
