Bigger Smaller #889

SOLD
I'm sizing up the back of my car to figure out if it'll fit a 60" stretched canvas. I don't normally paint on canvas or that big, but lately I've been trying new things, so now I think I need a big canvas to climb on into and paint. Other News: Remind me to tell you about the Sisterhood of the Traveling Props. More News Still: I've made a horrible mistake! I thought this new neighborhood would not have trick or treaters, but I'm wrong. One neighbor has a fog machine and another jack o'lanterns and everyone else loads of ghoulish mayhem on their lawns and sadly, if someone comes to my door, he or she is going to have to accept a can of soup or maybe a handful of crackers, or perhaps a festive container of Clorox Wipes oh, dear I'm regrettably ill prepared. still life acrylic 6"x6"

Dish Towel and Coffee Cord #887

If you get my painting to your inbox, you'll note I accidentally named yesterday's post, Magic Apple - now you see the apple, now you don't? I am not sure what I was thinking when I typed that - there was never an apple present physically or mentally. still life acrylic 8"x8' $145 click here to purchase $7 shipping and handling

Magic Jam Jar

sold You were thinking magic carpet? Well, I was earlier today too while on a hunt for a carpet someone will not find delicious. Oh yes, that someone also finds rugs irresistible to snack on, have I mentioned this? I would like to point out, aforementioned unnamed snacker has every toy she's ever been given. Hasn't hurt one little hair on all four dozen squeaky little heads. still life 8"x8" acrylic

Brie, the dog, wants a pony for Christmas. She saw one today on our walk and will give up her dream of owning a platypus for a pony. Other News; This painting started off as all grays and blues, I couldn't stand it, so I attacked it with warmer colors, this is the result.

But One #881

My only regret in 881 days of painting is putting that sort of wet painting on the scanner last week. Cloning out all the dried pieces of paint on my daily scans is totally un-fun. still life 8x8" $145 click here to purchase $7 shipping and handling.
Other News: I enjoyed meeting and visiting with everyone at this year's Art Walk. Thank you very much for coming out.

James (on tour) #879

This little rhino hit the road tonight. I did a demo at the James Library in Norwell and brought the rhino along for company. Come to find out, the rhino has an affinity for Agatha Christie. Fellow GJWP member, Sally Dean, was there too. rhino life, acrylic, 6"x6" $100 click here to purchase, $7 shipping and handling

Olive Oil #878

If you ever get the chance to see illustrator, Barron Storey speak, you must go, I wanted to remember every word! He was in Boston tonight, Brie, the dog, worked overtime to allow for my evening out. And judging by the amount of toys which were liberated in my absence, she didn't miss me at all. still life acrylic 6"x6' click here to purchase $100 shipping and handling $7

The Other #874

SOLD
First I painted something else, then I painted this. still life acrylic 6"x6"
Other News: I tried another new light today - the other one was away too hot, more like a space heater than a light. Now I have portable track lighting with a dimmer switch. All sorts of options. And far better than making my own sky light. Wasn't there a scene in a book in which they made a skylight themselves in their kitchen? I don't think they finished it, just left it and when it rained, well, things got wet. What book was that. . .

Other News (or This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things): Someone ATE part of the curtain yesterday. What, do tell, goes on in someone's fluffy little mind to eat the drapery? Briefly, I considered stripping the bed today, figuring the duvet and shams would be quite the smorgasbord. Oh, she's fine, I promise, don't ask me how I know, I beg of you.

#868 New Light

SOLD
I got a new light for my room, it's this little thing that sits on the floor, but powerful, it's 250 watt. I've been painting in very dim light lately, the sun shifted and the only place with good light at this time of year is the bathroom, which I'm not painting in, thank you very much. still life acrylic 6"x6" $100 click here to purchase $7 shipping and handling.

#866 Fall Hydrangea - In the Moment

sold I did my first plein air oil painting today - this is not it - this is my daily acrylic painting. I would post the oil painting but it's wet, putting a sticky acrylic face down on the scanner is one thing but an oil painting, probably not so easy to get off the scanner, I'm guessing. I have some bad habits.

Other News: Speaking of habits, have I mentioned, someone insists on sitting down halfway through her walk - ON the bench now - as if she is enjoying the view, which maybe she is, it's hard to tell what goes on in her fluffly little mind - and sometimes I just stand beside the bench and wait for her to take it all in.

#861 Title #259

SOLD
Oddment #259 by Duane Keiser was posted today - not much longer now, before our fluffy little art collector has her #308 Oddment painting - and today's, let me tell you, looks delicious, jelly beans. And as you probably know, Brie, the art collector, is hoping #308 is a dog biscuit and I'm hoping it's not a painting of a bug and since Duane Keiser doesn't know we exist, I'm sure we won't be of any influence. still life acrylic 6"x6"
